Entire Hyundai Fleet at 50mpg by 2025

Friday, October 1st, 2010

John Krafcik, the CEO of Hyundai Motor America, made a bold promise that by 2025, the car company’s entire line up will get the average of 50mpg.

During the Management Briefing Serminars, Krafcik mentioned that Hyundai’s market share in the US increased by 50% since 2008 when they became fuel economy’s market leader.  Moreover, Hyundai’s CEO said the getting their entire fleet to achieve 50mpg is a “huge leap.”  Still, he strongly believes that it can be done through determination and thorough research and development.  The American car company will employ powertrains improvements and the addition of light weight materials.  Krafcik said the 80% of its entire line up will still carry the traditional gasoline engines while the remaining 20% will carry the electric, hybrid, and other alternative innovations for fuel engines.

Since the car company does not build pick-up trucks or other heavy vehicles, it would be easier for them to commit their pledge in achieving the average of 50mpg.  Krafcik confirmed that the car company has no plans for developing car pick-ups.

Krafcik used the customized 2011 Sonata to stress the point and to give us an insight on what to expect from this car company henceforth.   The model was customized earlier this year.  Hyundai abstained from using the standard V6 engines when they found out that only 10% of the people who purchase middle-sized sedans want a V6 engine under the hood.  Ergo, Hyundai opted for a 4-cyclinder engine and it achieved an average of 35mpg on highway driving.

Get a Hyundai Accent for 10K

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

accentI was searching for budget cars for this post, and found something absolutely amazing. Okay, so maybe the Hyundai Accent at entry level is not the flashiest car or the sportiest model, but you know what? The base price is just about ten thousand dollars, and even with add ons and options, it does not get much more expensive than that.

Finally! A car that does not cost as much as or even more than the yearly tuition for an affordable college! Who would have thought?

And this car has some great standard features, such as a CD stereo with six speakers; a steering wheel wrapped in leather; air conditioning; pretty stylish metallic accents; and a B&M manual sport shifter.

For 10K or so, that’s really not so shabby!

Let’s Take A Look At The 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan!

2010 Hyundai Genesis SedanWhen you really take into the account the brand of the car that you choose – Hyundai is going to be the very best label that you can choose.  Not only did this particular brand win best car of the year award, but honestly … they have come up with some pretty cool and certainly affordable cars.  All of which have done fabulous and all of which are actually some of the best cars on the market.

For example, the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan – while the 2009 might have done really good, they are actually switching around the 2010 version just a little bit and while this is an entry level luxury car, the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan is actually going to be affordable and look fantastic on the road.

The changes in the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan are very vague right now but soon enough … I will get ‘em up here, hopefully!

The Hyundai i40c New Tiburon: It’s Cool!

Hyundai i40c One car that I think that everyone in the world is going to fall in love with is the Hyundai i40c.  This car, while not in production until 2011, it is one car that is going to not only be affordable, but it is a car that is going to look good and it is going to be one car that everyone wants.

The Hyundai i40c is going to be fully equipped with four petrol engines with direct fuel injection, which to me is very, very important.  The average fuel consumption on this car is going to be about 100km per liter.

While the Hyundai i40c is not going to be a car that is going to be imported in the US for quite a while, it is still a car that people are going to buy still.  Hyundai is the brand that won car of the year, which personally, I can understand why!  Because they come up with cars like the Hyundai i40c!
